In mid-April approximately 85 trees were planted throughout our community. This installation satisfied an ongoing bond issue placed on the community when Meritage was the sole owner of the property.
To get the trees installed, the Board worked with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and Meritage development to finally move the project forward. The planting of the trees will further enhance the value of our properties in Ellington Downs.
There is also some upcoming news concerning the maintenance of our roads and the installation of additional stop signs that need to be placed. The Board is playing an important role to move this issue forward with the Union County Department of Transportation as expeditiously as possible.
